When I can, I go out on short walks through grasses, and over other surfaces such as graveled surfaces. I find myself looking at all the various stones, and discover some aren’t really stones at all.
These are pieces of what I believe to be pieces of broken pottery left behind long ago in these areas, which are known to have been a favorite place of various Native Tribes earlier in America’s history. The letter on this piece of pottery seems to be part of the Cherokee alphabet. I just found this while out walking, lots of other pieces of broken pottery, but this was the clearest most distinct small image that I found.
Walking along another day I also found what I believe to be a fossilized tooth. approx 1 1/2 inches long.
Findings like these and others make taking walks more interesting!
